R. Michael Ghilezan, Founder

JD, University of San Diego Law School

BA Cum Laude with Distinction, Boston University

Mr. Ghilezan’s passion for advocacy pushed him into the litigation field early in his career. He believes that everyone deserves his or her day in court. Therefore, Mr. Ghilezan always works with his clients in order to find the most affordable way to resolve their issues.

Mr. Ghilezan believes in a client-centered approach to the practice of law. He is here to listen and answer you concerns. He will analyze every detail of your case in order to prepare the best strategy based on your goals as well as your financial capabilities. He will put the best presentation possible for the judge and jury, if the case ever has to be tried.

In fact, over 90% of cases in filed in California never even make it to trial. Confronted with excruciating waiting times, many clients wonder when will they ever be able to see the money, or when will they be able to put a lengthy dispute behind them? Mr. Ghilezan believes strongly in negotiating vigorously on behalf of clients in order to settle cases as soon as possible. Having honed his negotiating skills in a variety of business and employment cases, as well as non-legal environments, such as when he worked at the United Nations, Mr. Ghilezan has the tools to reach the right settlement for less time and money than it would cost to have the case tried.

When the right settlement cannot be reached, Mr. Ghilezan’s excellent advocacy skills will ensure that you have a strong attorney in your corner to help you win your legal battle.

Mr. Ghilezan studied mediation at the Straus Institute’s prestigious LLM program at Pepperdine University School of Law (ranked the best Alternative Dispute Resolution program in the nation). He has applied his mediation skills in over 50 cases in Los Angeles Superior Court, first as part of the (now defunct) LASC ADR program, and then as a Mediator for the California Academy of Mediation Professionals. He has also mediated over 40 cases for the City of Los Angeles as a mediator for the City Attorney’s Office.
